Pear Tea

Description
Pear tea supported by the flavors and digestive health benefits of dandelion root, caraway seeds, and ginger.

- 1 cup diced ripe bartlett pear or 4-6 slices dried pear
- 1 teaspoon dried dandelion root
- 1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds
- 1/4” piece of peeled fresh ginger
- 16 ounces filtered water
Instructions
- Place all the ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a soft boil.
- Reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove the tea from the heat, cover it, and let it steep for 8-10 minutes.
- Use a potato masher or a fork to press cooked pears slightly and release juices.
- Strain tea with a fine mesh strainer.
- Serve it hot or refrigerate it and serve it chilled.
Notes
Remember to make pear tea on repeat during peak pear season when you find pears at a good price and loaded with flavor.
