Hot Date Drink

Description
A quick mix of raw (or low vat pasteurized) milk, dates, roasted carob, vanilla bean, and maple make this drink a healthier option than what your local coffee shop offers.

- 12 ounces low temp vat pasteurized milk or raw milk
- 2 tablespoons chopped dates
- 1 tablespoon roasted carob
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup
- 2 pinches vanilla powder, pure no additives
- Pinch of sea salt
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a blender. Blend on medium/high for 3 minutes.
- Warm gently in a pan on the stove for 2-4 minutes or until hot.
- Strain the hot date drink with a fine mesh strainer and serve hot.
Notes
Do not let it simmer. It may get too thick. Remove it from the heat immediately. Some dates taste sweeter than others, if necessary, add a bit of milk to tone down the sweetness.
